  • Q: Is the site opened and up to date now?
  • A: Yes, it’s up and working, but not yet complete.


  • Q: Is the User Upload still available?
  • A: Yes, but differently from the past, now to use it you have to be a registered user.


  • Q: How does the User Upload work?
  • A: The User Upload is a form that allows all registered users to upload all the mods and files they want directly to GTA-Downloads.com. Once registered, go to the User Control Panel click on “Upload a new file” and you’ll be in the GTA-Downloads.com User Upload. Once you have filled out all the forms (* are obligatory fields) and clicked on the Send! button, your file will first have to be approved by an Administrator of GTA-Downloads.com before it can be viewed. If you want, you can be advised when or if your file has been approved by checking the e-mail checkbox at the end of the form.


  • Q: How do I recognize the mod or file I’ve uploaded?
  • A: In your User Control Panel all the mods uploaded are divided into three categories. The first category includes all the files waiting for approval. The second category includes all approved files and the third categories includes all the personal editable and approved files. Also your nickname linked to the forum profile will be added at the end of each file folder.


  • Q: Can I edit the mods I’ve uploaded?
  • A: Yes, but not all. Once registered you can upgrade your user status to “author”. An author is a recognized registered user who has personal files uploaded to GTA-Downloads.com. Once completed the Author linking process, you have rights to edit each and every mod of that specific author.


  • Q: What exactly can an author do?
  • A: An author can edit all his personal mods by editing all the fields, add new versions of the file, replace or add new screenshots and also delete a mod from the database – this last option is not and automated process, the author must specify a reason for deleting and an Administrator will complete the process.


  • Q: Are all this author options working now?
  • A: No, right now you can only became an author, but all the advanced rights will be available in the near future.


  • Q: My searches never give me results, why?
  • A: If you’re using the Quick search module – the one available in the top area of each page of the site – you have to specify in “Insert File Name” the name of the mod and after choose a category to search in. This module will search only in File Name data, if you need to search in other fields like description, author or else, please use the Advanced search module.
